The Lion and the Rose:Located in the historic section of Asheville’s Montford neighborhood, this charming bed and breakfast dates back to 1896. It’s one of the longest running inns in the area. Through the years, it’s been honored with awards including Best Asheville Bed and Breakfast, Most Beautiful Gardens and has received recognitions in publications such as Fodors, USA Today, and Country Living.

Highland Brewing: Asheville’s first brewing company, this place rocks. We’ve watched it grow and dig their commitment to quality, sustainability and simply making Asheville a better place. Oh- and the beer is great too! We use their Porter and IPA in our “Cooking with Beer” class.
